Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use TeacherOS. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

TeacherOS helps Early Career Teachers in England plan lessons, make resources and gather evidence against the Teachers' Standards. It is independent and is not part of, or endorsed by, the Department for Education or any appropriate body.

Your account

  • Keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You must be a teacher or trainee teacher to use TeacherOS.
  • Keep your details accurate.

Using TeacherOS responsibly

  • Do not enter personal information about pupils, such as names.
  • Do not use TeacherOS for anything unlawful, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it.

AI-generated content

Lesson plans, resources, answers and evidence are written with AI. They can contain mistakes. You are responsible for checking and adapting everything before you use it with pupils or submit it as evidence, and for following your school's policies and your appropriate body's requirements.

Your content

You own the lessons, resources and evidence you create. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you.

Free generations

Your account includes a number of free AI generations each month, which may change. Unused generations do not carry over.

Availability

We work to keep TeacherOS available and your data safe, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or error-free. Keep copies of anything important, for example by downloading your data from the Account page.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions made using content from TeacherOS.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
