Why we built it
Induction is a busy time. Alongside planning, teaching and marking, ECTs are expected to show how they are meeting the Teachers' Standards. Too often that evidence is pieced together at the last minute from memory, emails and old lesson plans. TeacherOS turns the work you already do into evidence as you do it.
What TeacherOS does
- Plans a timed lesson from the national curriculum topic you choose, adapted for the pupils in your class.
- Makes worksheets for the whole class, adapted versions, an answer key and slides.
- Matches each lesson plan to the Teachers' Standards it shows, and writes evidence entries you can check and edit.
- Reminds you to add what actually happened after you teach, so every entry has your reflection.
- Keeps all of your evidence together, sorted by standard and sub-standard, ready for mentor meetings and progress reviews.
Who it is for
TeacherOS is for ECTs in primary and secondary schools in England. Mentors and induction tutors may find the evidence portfolio useful in meetings with their ECTs.
